“Walk with Renée” for the Children’s Wish Foundation
With lots of help from the Foundation staff I am organizing a walk here in Bedford on October 15th at 11 a.m. starting from DeWolfe Park on Waterfront Drive.
Renée MacIntyre (nee Gallant) was tragically killed along with her husband John three weeks after their wedding in August 2004.
Over the years while growing up Renée was involved in assisting Children to achieve their goals and dreams; so in her passing her parents decided to continue with her work by supporting the Children’s Wish Foundation.
For many years my wife, Cherry, looked after Renée and her brother Mathew with the result that Renée became best friends with Nicola, our eldest daughter, who now lives in British Columbia. Subsequently I have volunteered to help with a “Walk for Renée” in Bedford where she grew up.
I urge you to take a while and walk with us for a very worthy cause on October 15th 2006. You can give a donation at the Walk meeting place or go on line to the web site www.childrenswish.ca <http://www.childrenswish.ca> where you can register and also have the chance to win a pair of tickets from AIRTRANSAT to Europe (Follow the leads to the Nova Scotia Chapter and the Bedford Walk).
